The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for
October 15, 16, & 17, 2010 at the Best Western Vernon Lodge in Vernon, BC.
Field Trip:
Attendees to the AGM may take part in morning and afternoon field trips on Friday to Orica’s detonating cord manufacturing plant in Tappen or the Lakeside Plastics plant in Salmon Arm which makes borehole liners.
The Orica plant can handle only 18 persons in the morning and 9 in the afternoon, on a first come, first served basis.

Spouse Program:
The spouse program will feature a winery tour on Saturday morning, October 16th.
Participants should arrange car pooling to the winery.
The tour will leave from the hotel lobby mid-morning, with return in the early afternoon.
There will be a small charge for the tour (to be collected onsite)..
Lunch at the winery will be at extra cost and seating is limited.
Participants must indicate on the registration form if they wish to attend the tour so that we can make the proper arrangements for lunch reservations.

Registration will be held Friday afternoon from 5:00-7:00 PM.
The registration desk will also be open on Saturday from 7:00-8:00 AM.
Wine & Cheese Reception:
Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM will feature a wine and cheese reception.
Technical
Sessions / Conference Papers:>
Saturday October 16th from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Banquet:
The Annual Banquet will be held on Saturday October 16 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm.
Casino Night:
The Casino Night will follow the Banquet on Saturday Night.

Level 1
Certificate Blaster Training Course:
Will be held on Thursday, October 14th and Friday morning, October 15th, 2010.
Room for 25-30 Attendees.
Certified ISEE instructors will present the course.
The blasting course will finish at noon on Friday to accommodate those who wish to go on the field trips or to attempt writing their WorkSafe BC or BC Ministry of Mines Blaster (Re)certification, both of which are scheduled for Friday afternoon.
Blaster
Certificate Exams:
It should be possible to write blaster certification exams, but ONLY ON FRIDAY PM.
Both WorkSafe BC and the BC Ministry of Mines have TENTATIVELY offered to have this service available to our members, but only if there is sufficient demand.
Standard requirements for sitting blaster certification exams apply.
You will need to bring your blasting log books, a reference letter from your employer, the exam fee, and to fulfill any other requirements.
YOU MUST CONTACT & REGISTER with WorkSafe BC or the BC Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR. You cannot just show up and hope to write the tests!.

Your registration fee will include access to the Friday night reception (snacks and two drink tickets included), Saturday’s conference participation (including coffee breaks and lunch), as well as the evening banquet, and the entertainment Casino Night with door prizes.
Registration of your spouse (or significant other) to the Friday night reception will include their access, snacks, and two drink tickets. Kids are welcome to the Wine & Cheese Reception at no charge (although we need to know how many are attending, and their ages, ahead of time). A ticket is required for your spouse and/or any other family member(s) that are planning to attend the banquet. (Regrettably, kids are not free for this event).
